In 2019, we began mapping and registering the groups and artisanal typologies in our network. This effort resulted in 400 pages with QR codes, representing many artisans. Everything starts with a good chat to create the profile on the Catarina Mina website and collect signatures.

Our way of organizing production comes from craftsmanship: with generosity and respect—something we want to pass on to consumers. For years, we have been showing who is behind each piece.

Each Catarina Mina bag comes with a QR code that you can scan to learn the story behind your piece.

In the beginning, we were 4. We combined our desires, redefined our ideas, and decided to have #anhonestconversation with those who came close. Today, we are many artisans, countless partners, and infinite friends who, like you, know every stitch of this story.

How wonderful it is to grow so organically, like the fabric that emerges on the porches of Itaitinga, where our artisans work with their needles and threads while keeping an eye on the pot on the stove and their children playing in the yard.
